Work Experience before the Otters: Fundraising, sales, home improvement sales, swimming pool sales, heating and air conditioning, and plumbing.

Life Outside of the Otters: I like to play golf when ever and where ever, loving my family and friends, watching way too many sports, and listening to sports radio in my car. My motto is: Work Hard and Play Harder.
Favorite Sports Memory: First tee in 1990 US Open at Medinah, making a birdie on the 17th hole both days on the course, making six hole in ones, and being a part of the 2006 Otters championship.
Favorite Charity: Evansville Junior Golf Association. This organization provides the necessary competitions that expose junior golfers to tournament experiences. Former EJGA junior players include Jeff Overton, David Erdy, Darrett Brinker, Jeff Sanders, Rusty Mason, and me among the many local accomplished golfers.
Summary: Joel Padfield rejoined the Otters to serve as Director of Sales and Revenue Development in October 2009 and was named General Manager of the Otters in January 2012. During his first employment from May 2003 to October 2006, Joel led the Otters front office staff to a single season Frontier League Record in financial turnaround. Born in Muncie Indiana, Joels family lived in Indianapolis, Kokomo, Sarasota Florida, Princeton, and Evansville. After graduating from Evansville Central High School, Joel earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from Ball State University. Joel played golf in numerous mini-tours including the South African Tour, Nationwide Tour (formerly Hogan and Nike Tours), and the PGA tour. He and his wife, Christy, reside in Madisonville Kentucky. Their son, Blake Nelson graduated as valedictorian from Hopkins County Central High School, where Christy is the Special-Education building coach. Blake is currently a senior at Kentucky Wesleyan University, in Owensboro Kentucky where he is majoring in accounting. Joel and Christy enjoy being at home sharing their lives with their Golden Retriever, Riley. Since rejoining the Otters, Joel has been able to live by his motto Work Hard and Play Harder.
