CRESTWOOD, Ill.- The Evansville Otters and the Windy City ThunderBolts will settle the series on Thursday morning.
Evansville (32-23) will be aiming for their third straight series win after a sweep of Joliet and a victory over the Gateway Grizzlies.
Windy City (31-24) has not lost a series since June 25 when they were swept by Joliet.
The Otters took the loss to Windy City on Wednesday by a final score of 5-2.
Evansville struggled bringing runs home leaving five runners in scoring position.
Windy City starter Drake Robison recorded his first win of the year after dropping his first two starts.
The Otters did see Jeff Gardener tally his 15th home run of the year. Gardner drove in both runs of the game with an RBI single in the first as well.
The Otters will try to collect the series win behind Felix Baez.
The right hander has given up just six earned runs over his last 23 and 2/3 innings pitched.
Baez gave up four of those runs in his last start on Saturday against the Gateway Grizzlies.
Windy City will go with lefty Jake Fischer in the finale.
Fischer has posted three straight wins after fours straight losses previously.
He has not given up a run in his last two starts to Washington and Southern Illinois.
Fischer has also only walked three batters over his last 32 and 1/3 innings.

The Otters will return home to Bosse Field on July 21 against the Washington Wild Things at 6:35 p.m for Indianapolis Colts Night and postgame fireworks.
