Tim Schalch (pronounced SHOUSE- like "house") recently signed with the Evansville Otters in the Frontier League. Schalch, 24, is a right-handed SS/2B from Sarasota, Fl. Schalch began his college career at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa, and graduated Cum Laude from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fl.
Schalch's collegiate years as Captain were marked with multiple successes , with the most notable being named a 2009 First Team All-Conference and All Tournament team selections. In his senior campaign, Schalch hit .370 scattering 67 hits in 181 at-bats, while only striking out 15 times with the Rattlers. Schalch later joined the U.S Military All-star's, an affiliate with the American Defenders of New Hampshire in the Can-Am Independent League, to complete their Red, White, and Blue Diplomacy tour in July of 2009 where he hit .356 for the all-stars.
